Ghaziabad Development Authority Advances Rs 650 Crore Cricket Stadium Project to DPR Stage
The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has finalized preliminary designs and cost estimates for a new international cricket stadium near Raj Nagar Extension, with a seating capacity of about 35,000 and a sports academy. A detailed project report (DPR) is expected within two months, pending state government approval. The Rs 650 crore project, including Rs 480 crore for construction, will be developed in partnership with the UP Cricket Association on 34.42 acres. Plans also include a six-lane road and embankment near the Hindon river to improve connectivity, with completion anticipated within three years after construction begins.
