Ashwin noted that the format's appeal, even in domestic tournaments like the Vijay Hazare Trophy, relies heavily on the presence of star players. He suggested that while Test cricket retains its space, ODIs might struggle to find a place amidst the dominance of T20 leagues and the enduring appeal of Test matches.
