Chess Grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik has filed a defamation lawsuit against the World Chess Federation (FIDE) in a Swiss court. This action follows an FIDE ethics inquiry into Kramnik for alleged harassment of players with unsubstantiated cheating accusations, particularly after the death of Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky. Kramnik claims he was forced to sue due to relentless attacks from players and FIDE, whose CEO called his allegations "appalling." Naroditsky's final livestream indicated severe mental stress from these claims, and another player reported suicidal thoughts. Kramnik maintains his accusations are substantiated.
