The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has offered to play additional T20 International matches against Sri Lanka during their 2026 tour to support cyclone relief efforts. Sri Lanka Cricket Chairman Shammi Silva confirmed India's willingness to add fixtures to aid recovery after Cyclone Ditwah, which caused significant destruction and loss of life. While an earlier offer for December 2025 T20Is was logistically unfeasible, the additional August 2026 matches aim to boost revenue and visibility for reconstruction.
