Spinner Tabraiz Shamsi took Cricket South Africa (CSA) to the Johannesburg High Court after discussions failed to extend his No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for overseas T20 leagues. The court ruled in Shamsi's favor, ordering CSA to pay his legal costs and extend his NOC until the ILT20 final. This allows him to participate in the ILT20 and the Big Bash League. Shamsi stated court action was a last resort after negotiations broke down.
