Jasprit Bumrah Sets Record as India Defends T20 World Cup Title in 2026 Final

India won the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup by defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in the final at Ahmedabad. Jasprit Bumrah was named Player of the Match after taking four wickets for 15 runs, becoming the highest wicket-taking pacer in T20 World Cup history with 40 wickets. He finished as joint-highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 14 wickets alongside Varun Chakaravarthy. India became the first team to defend the T20 World Cup title successfully on home soil.
