
Sjoerd Marijne has been reappointed as the chief coach of the Indian women's hockey team, marking his return after guiding them to a historic fourth-place finish at the Tokyo Olympics. Marijne, who previously coached the team from 2017-2021, expressed enthusiasm for his return with fresh energy and a clear vision. He will be supported by analytical coach Matias Vila and scientific advisor Wayne Lombard. Marijne's first major assignment will be the FIH Hockey Women's World Cup Qualifiers in Hyderabad.
