
The first Chandigarh International Marathon was held on Sunday, featuring over 3,500 participants, including 38 international runners. The event, organized by the Chandigarh Sports Department, included four categories: full marathon (42.195 km), half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km runs. UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria flagged off the race, which saw record timings in the full and half marathon. The event aims to promote fitness and community engagement, with plans for future related activities like a cycle marathon.
