Rankireddy's Shoulder Injury Leads Indian Men's Doubles Withdrawal from Swiss Open

Top-seeded Indian men's doubles badminton pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty withdrew from the Swiss Open quarterfinals due to Rankireddy's recurring right shoulder injury. The 25-year-old, known for his record 565 km/h smash, sustained an overuse injury after a demanding 74-minute pre-quarterfinal match. Malaysian coach Tan Kim Her indicated recovery may take at least a week. The pair, Asian Games champions and 2023 Badminton Asia titleholders, will next compete at the Badminton Asia Championships in April.
