The 28-year-old previously played for the Athletics, where he hit .212 with 14 home runs and 39 RBIs in the past season. Bleday's contract includes potential performance bonuses. In a separate move, the Reds acquired outfielder Dane Myers from the Miami Marlins for minor league outfielder Ethan O'Donnell.
