India’s opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 2 runs before being dismissed by USA pacer Ritvik Appidi, who celebrated the wicket. Vaibhav also took a wicket, becoming the youngest Indian to do so in the tournament at 14 years and 294 days. Despite his early dismissal, he contributed with the ball by dismissing USA’s Nitish Sudini.
