The International Cricket Council (ICC) has intervened to facilitate visa processing for 42 players and officials of Pakistani origin participating in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Visas have been granted to England players Adil Rashid, Rehan Ahmed, and Saqib Mahmood, as well as members of the Netherlands squad and Canadian staff. Visa arrangements are ongoing for Pakistani-origin participants from teams including the USA, UAE, Italy, Bangladesh, and Canada, with appointments scheduled ahead of the January 31 deadline. The ICC is coordinating closely with Indian High Commissions to ensure timely processing and avoid last-minute issues before the tournament starting February 7.
