Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha highlighted India's significant progress in sports, emphasizing improved infrastructure, scientific training, and stronger institutional support. Speaking at the Sports Journalists Federation of India convention, she stressed an athlete-first governance approach prioritizing preparation, welfare, and development. Usha noted the importance of grassroots talent nurtured through initiatives like Khelo India. IOA CEO Raghuram Iyer described India as being at a pivotal moment with growing ambition and investment shaping its sporting future, including hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games and aiming for the 2036 Olympics.
