Deeya Yadav Becomes Youngest Player to Debut in Women's Premier League 2026

Sixteen-year-old Deeya Yadav became the youngest player to debut in the Women's Premier League (WPL) when Delhi Capitals included her in their playing XI against Mumbai Indians in the 2026 season. Signed for Rs 10 lakh, Deeya impressed with strong domestic performances, including nearly 300 runs in the Senior Women's T20 Trophy and over 150 runs in the Senior Inter Zonal T20. Delhi captain Jemimah Rodrigues praised her batting potential, highlighting her ability to hit big shots. Mumbai Indians also introduced debutant Vaishnavi Sharma, replacing injured G Kamalini.
