All-rounder Hardik Pandya, who performed exceptionally in the recent T20I series against South Africa, is reportedly set to be rested for the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is also expected to be rested. Both players are fully fit but will be given a break to manage workload ahead of the T20I series against New Zealand and the T20 World Cup 2026. The BCCI selection committee is yet to announce the squad for the ODI series, which begins January 11.
