The tournament featured 29 teams competing over four days, with Railways overcoming Chandigarh and Karnataka en route to the final. Led by captain Sunil Kumar, Railways showcased strong raiding and defensive performances, including 12 points from Pankaj Mohite and 14 tackle points overall. Maharashtra, led by Aslam Inamdar, was unable to match Railways' intensity in the final.
