The International Cricket Council (ICC) rejected Bangladesh's request to shift matches to Sri Lanka, citing no credible security threat and logistical challenges. The ICC Board voted overwhelmingly to uphold the original schedule and gave Bangladesh a 24-hour ultimatum to confirm participation or face replacement by Scotland. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has supported Bangladesh's stance and offered to host their matches, but the ICC remains firm on its decision. BCB President Aminul Islam expressed hope for a last-minute reconsideration, while the situation remains unresolved ahead of the tournament starting February 7.
