Zimbabwe has appointed former West Indies fast bowler Courtney Walsh as bowling consultant to strengthen their preparations for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. Walsh, who has extensive experience in subcontinent conditions, has begun working with the team ahead of the tournament. Zimbabwe, returning after missing the 2024 edition, qualified via the 2025 Africa Qualifier and will compete in Group B alongside Australia, Ireland, Oman, and Sri Lanka. Zimbabwe Cricket's Managing Director Givemore Makoni highlighted Walsh's expertise and mentoring ability as key to enhancing the team's bowling resources.
