Bihar is implementing a master plan to enhance sports infrastructure and identify young talent across the state. The initiative includes developing modern sports complexes, multi-sports stadiums, and synthetic tracks in major cities. The state aims to make 64 Eklavya sports centers fully operational by 2026 to extend facilities to villages. A long-term vision targets a strong presence at the 2036 Olympics, with centers of excellence for popular local sports being established in every district. An Asian-level sports village is also under development in Rajgir.
