
Kushal Das, former general secretary of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), died at age 65 or 66 after resigning in 2022 due to health reasons. Serving 12 years from 2010, Das played a key role in hosting the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup, launching the Indian Super League and Indian Women's League, and securing major tournaments like the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup. A chartered accountant, he previously worked with ICC, IMG, and other international organizations. AIFF officials expressed condolences, highlighting his contributions to Indian football's development.
