A Task Force led by Abhinav Bindra has submitted a report to the Sports Ministry identifying systemic deficits in Indian sports administration. The report highlights a lack of professional administrators and inadequate training for athletes transitioning into governance roles. It recommends establishing an autonomous National Council for Sports Education and Capacity Building to train a specialized cadre, including IAS officers, and to regulate sports administration training. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has stated all recommendations will be implemented.
