Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, will host its first FIDE-rated international chess tournament on January 8-9. Organized by Arul Arora in memory of his grandfather, the event at Lion's Den aims to provide opportunities for local youth. Approximately 300 players from India and abroad are expected to compete across nine rounds, with cash prizes totaling Rs 1.51 lakh and trophies awarded. Special prizes will recognize state and district's best players, encouraging local talent.
