Varanasi Weavers Create Cricket-Themed Banarasi Sarees for Indian Cricket Team

Weavers in Varanasi have crafted 15 special Banarasi sarees featuring cricket-themed motifs, including designs of India's World Cup trophies and the current T20 World Cup trophy. Each saree, costing between Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000 and taking about one-and-a-half months to make, will be gifted to Indian cricket team players after the ICC Men's T20 World Cup final. Prayers for the team's success were also held at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham ahead of the match against New Zealand in Ahmedabad.
