
Indian javelin star Neeraj Chopra has started a 32-day pre-season training camp in Potchefstroom, South Africa, under his former coach Jai Chaudhary, following approval of Rs 11.80 lakh by the Sports Ministry's Mission Olympic Cell. Chopra parted ways with Jan Zelezny recently and aims to improve fitness ahead of the 2026 season. Separately, the Mission Olympic Cell has approved Rs 22 lakh for procuring a specialized javelin throwing machine and strength equipment for athlete Sachin Yadav at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.
