Yogi Adityanath Inaugurates East Zone Women's Basketball Championship Highlighting Sports Development

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the East Zone Inter-University Women's Basketball Championship at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, marking the event's return after six years. He highlighted the development of a new sports culture in India since 2014 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government, emphasizing improved infrastructure and increased financial support for athletes, including a Rs 10 lakh incentive for Olympic qualifiers from Uttar Pradesh. The tournament features 31 teams from 11 states.
