Sjoerd Marijne Rejoins Indian Women's Hockey Team as Chief Coach

Dutch coach Sjoerd Marijne has formally rejoined the Indian women's hockey team as chief coach, returning after his initial tenure from 2017 to 2021. He will be supported by analytical coach Matias Vila. Marijne replaces Harendra Singh, who resigned in December due to poor results. His first major assignment will be the Women's World Cup Qualifiers in Hyderabad in March. Marijne previously led India to notable achievements, including a fourth-place finish at the Tokyo Olympics and several international medals. The national camp begins January 19 in Bengaluru.
