
Utah coach Kyle Whittingham will step down after 21 seasons with the Utes, concluding his tenure at the Las Vegas Bowl against Nebraska on Dec. 31. Whittingham, who has been with the program since 1994, is 177-88 as head coach. Defensive coordinator Morgan Scalley will succeed him. Utah, ranked 15th, enters the game on a five-game winning streak. Nebraska, with a 6-2 start, has lost its recent games and made coaching staff changes, with freshman quarterback TJ Lateef set to start.
