India has reportedly agreed to play additional T20 International matches during their August tour of Sri Lanka to support relief and recovery efforts following Cyclone Ditwah. Sri Lanka Cricket Chairman Shammi Silva confirmed the plan, stating the extra games aim to raise funds and maintain focus on reconstruction. Previous attempts to organize T20Is for cyclone relief in December were unsuccessful due to logistical and broadcasting challenges. The additional fixtures are seen as a gesture of solidarity and are expected to boost revenue for rebuilding.
