Ludhiana's sports department will construct a synthetic lawn tennis court and an indoor volleyball court at SCD Government College, with a total state sanction of ₹4 crore. The tennis court, costing ₹77 lakh, will be the district's first government-run facility. The ₹3.6 crore indoor volleyball court aims to enable year-round training. Despite the infrastructure development, a shortage of government lawn tennis coaches in Punjab is noted, with a temporary arrangement made through the district association.
