The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has proposed a 21-year governance roadmap for the Indian Super League (ISL) and I-League, establishing a 22-member governing council and an 11-member management committee. The governing council, chaired by the AIFF president or vice-president, will include club owners, AIFF officials, commercial partners, and independent members, meeting annually to oversee league policies. The management committee, led by the AIFF secretary-general, will handle daily operations and meet monthly. The structure draws on best practices from top global leagues to promote stability and professional management in Indian football.
