
Indian chess grandmaster Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu has been confirmed to participate in the Norway Chess 2026 tournament, marking his third appearance. Having qualified for the 2026 Candidates Tournament by winning the 2025 FIDE Circuit, he continues to rise among the world's top players. Praggnanandhaa previously won the Norway Chess Open in 2022 and achieved a notable classical victory over Magnus Carlsen in 2024. He was also part of India's gold medal-winning team at the 2024 Chess Olympiad.
