International Shooter Sambhaji Patil Dies in Car Accident in Maharashtra

International pistol shooter Sambhaji Patil, a 2016 Junior World Cup gold medallist, died in a car accident on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway in Palghar, Maharashtra. The car, driven by his friend Yash Choudhary, collided with a truck while overtaking. Patil was declared dead on arrival at the hospital, while Choudhary was injured. Patil, trained by national coach Jaspal Rana, was traveling to Gujarat for shooting practice. An accidental death case has been registered.
