Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Indian chess players Arjun Erigaisi and Koneru Humpy for winning bronze medals at the FIDE World Rapid Championships in Doha. Erigaisi secured bronze in the open section, becoming the second Indian male player to achieve this feat. Humpy, the defending champion, also earned a bronze in the women's section despite being tied for the lead, narrowly missing out on a title defense due to tie-break rules.
