Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced plans to establish sports colleges at every divisional headquarters, alongside developing playgrounds in gram panchayats, mini stadiums at block levels, and large stadiums at district levels. Addressing an MLA Sports Competition ceremony in Gorakhpur, he highlighted ongoing infrastructure development, including an international stadium in Gorakhpur and a sports university in Meerut. The government aims to strengthen professional training and provide young talent with better platforms, with plans to encourage institutions to adopt sports disciplines.
