Delhi-Born Nikhil Chaudhary Debuts for Australia in T20 International Cricket
Nikhil Chaudhary, a 30-year-old allrounder born in Delhi, made his T20I debut for Australia against Bangladesh, becoming the third Indian-born cricketer to represent Australia internationally and the first Indian-born man in 62 years. Having moved to Queensland during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chaudhary gained eligibility through permanent residency despite not holding Australian citizenship. He previously played domestic cricket for Punjab and was scouted after strong performances in Australia's Big Bash League.
