The Chief Imam of the All India Imam Organisation, Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, has called on actor and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) owner Shah Rukh Khan to apologize to the nation and condemn alleged atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. Ilyasi also urged Khan to drop Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman, acquired by KKR for Rs 9.20 crore, from the IPL 2026 squad. This demand follows reports of violent incidents against religious minorities in Bangladesh. A Shiv Sena leader had previously advised Khan to remove the player for safety reasons.
