The Institute of Engineering Management (IEM) in Kolkata has developed its own private cloud infrastructure, becoming the only Indian university to host all its digital applications and websites internally. This initiative, part of their Make-in-India program, aims to ensure data ownership and security by moving away from third-party hosting. The system is also designed as a learning platform, providing students with hands-on experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, and disaster recovery, alongside training on global cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud.
