India has advanced to third place globally on Stanford University's 2025 Global AI Vibrancy Index, surpassing its previous ranking by four positions. This rise is attributed to advancements in research and development, talent pool expansion, responsible AI initiatives, policy development, and infrastructure growth. India now ranks second globally in AI talent, with Karnataka highlighted as a significant contributor, actively promoting itself as an AI hub through startup support and dedicated funding for deep technology and AI research.
