South Korea Holds Preliminary Talks with Anthropic to Explore AI Cooperation

South Korea has initiated preliminary talks with Anthropic, the developer of the Claude AI model, aiming to expand its collaboration with global AI firms beyond OpenAI. Deputy Prime Minister and Science Minister Bae Kyung-hoon met Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei at an AI summit in India in February to discuss AI technology, industry trends, and potential cooperation. While discussions include policy and AI safety collaboration, no formal agreements have been made yet.
