India's Department of Telecommunications has released the National Frequency Allocation Plan 2025 (NFAP-2025), effective December 30, 2025. The plan allocates the 6425-7125 MHz band for 5G, 5G Advanced, and future 6G networks, alongside Ka, Q, and V bands for satellite services. It also designates spectrum for in-flight/maritime connectivity and emerging technologies like V2X. This aims to align India's spectrum management with global standards and meet future digital demands.
