Bharti Airtel has become the first telecom provider to offer seamless mobile connectivity on Kolkata's Vidyasagar Setu, a key link between Kolkata and Howrah. The project involved laying 1.3 km of fiber and installing antennas on six poles to ensure uninterrupted voice and data services. Executed in collaboration with the West Bengal government, police, and Hooghly River Bridge Commissioners, this initiative supports commuters, emergency services, and traffic management. Airtel has also expanded over 5,250 network sites across West Bengal in the past three years.
