A new WhatsApp scam, termed 'Ghost Pairing,' is reportedly exploiting the app's 'Linked devices' feature. Attackers trick users into approving a connection, allowing them to access chats and media without needing passwords or SIM swaps. The scam involves a lure message, a fake viewer page, and tricking the user into entering a pairing code, thereby linking the attacker's browser to the victim's account. This method allows for discreet monitoring of conversations and downloaded content.
