Pixxel-Led Consortium to Build India's First Private Earth Observation Satellite Constellation

A consortium led by Bengaluru-based Pixxel Space, including Dhruva Space, PierSight, and SatSure Analytics India, has signed an agreement with the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) to build India's first privately-led national Earth Observation satellite constellation. Valued at over Rs 1,200 crore, the project will deploy 12 satellites by 2032, offering high-resolution optical, multispectral, SAR, and hyperspectral imaging. The constellation aims to provide reliable Earth observation data for Indian government users and enable global commercial applications across sectors such as agriculture, environment, and infrastructure.
