President Droupadi Murmu has described Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a significant opportunity for India's economic growth, emphasizing its potential to boost GDP, employment, and productivity. Speaking at a Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship event, she stressed the importance of ensuring AI's benefits reach all societal sections, particularly the underprivileged, and reduce barriers. The President highlighted the need for developing AI talent through skills like data science and AI engineering, noting government efforts with industry and academia to shape a responsible technological future and promote AI in schools.
