The Indian Air Force's Software Development Institute (SDI) and IIT Madras have signed an MoU to jointly design and develop an indigenous digital communication system for airborne applications. This collaboration aims to enhance India's self-reliance in defence technology, focusing on secure networking and encryption algorithms. The initiative supports the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision by reducing dependence on imported systems and bolstering the operational efficiency and technological sovereignty of India's defence forces.
