Meta is introducing a new performance review system called Checkpoint, launching mid-2026, to simplify evaluations and reward employees based on impact. The system features four rating tiers—Outstanding, Excellent, Needs Improvement, and Not Meeting Expectations—with corresponding bonuses ranging from none to 200 percent of base pay. Additionally, a new Meta Award will grant a 300 percent bonus to select top performers. This overhaul follows recent layoffs and aims to retain high-value talent while improving review efficiency.
