Roblox, a global gaming platform, is implementing mandatory age verification for all users in India and other countries to access chat features. This move aims to enhance user safety by ensuring age-appropriate communication and restricting interactions between adults and minors. The company stated that facial age estimation data will be deleted after processing by its vendor, Persona. This initiative positions Roblox as a pioneer in requiring age checks for chat access on a large online gaming platform.
