Indian Consortium Launches Open-Source Platform Agartala 0.4.0 for Private 5G Networks

The Indian Open Source for Mobile Communication Networks (IOS-MCN) Consortium, led by IISc Bengaluru, IIT Delhi, and C-DAC, launched Agartala 0.4.0, an open-source software platform enabling enterprises and institutions to build and operate Private 5G networks. Funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the platform aims to provide faster, secure, and cost-effective connectivity for factories, campuses, and startups. Agartala 0.4.0 marks a transition from development to validation, supporting pilot deployments for future large-scale adoption.
