Multilingual, Voice-Enabled AI Adopted to Enhance Digital Healthcare Access in India

Officials from the Digital India BHASHINI Division and the National Health Authority emphasized the importance of multilingual and voice-enabled artificial intelligence (AI) to improve healthcare accessibility in India's diverse linguistic landscape. At a recent event in Bhubaneswar, they highlighted AI's role in enhancing citizen engagement, clinical documentation, and digital health platforms like AB PM-JAY and ABDM. An MoU was signed to implement AI-powered language support, aiming to streamline patient-doctor interactions and automate electronic health records, thereby strengthening digital health systems nationwide.
