Google Enables Gmail Users to Change Email Addresses While Retaining Account Data

Google is introducing a feature allowing Gmail users to change their gmail.com email addresses while retaining all existing data and access to services like Gmail, YouTube, and Drive. The old email becomes an alias, receiving emails alongside the new address. Users can revert to their previous address anytime but cannot change or delete the new address for 12 months. Each account may change its Gmail address up to three times, with some legacy services still displaying the old email.
